ENGLISH ACTIVITIES

Every day, we have story time to read the books related to our themes. Here we read a book about our theme “ MY HOME & FAMILY”.  Story time is a great chance for the children to learn new words, phrases, expressions etc.

Every week, we play English and Turkish games in our classrooms. Here we are playing a game named “The Happy Leaves”. During group time, we give each child one leaf. When the children hear the colour of their leaf in the rhyme, they stand up and move like a leaf. In this photo the children with red leaves are standing. During the game we introduce additional colours. While having great fun we learnt the colours of the Autumn leaves.

PENGUENLER

MATEMATİK: AÇ BEBEK PENGUENLER

Çocuklar balık kraker, kağıt okyanus gibi gerçek materyalleri kullanarak sözel yönergeye uygun toplamayı ve çıkarmayı anlayarak uyguladılar. Bu oyunla hem penguenlerin beslenmesini öğrendiler hem de balık krakerlerini afiyetle yediler.

BEBEK PENGUEN DRAMASI:

Penguenlerin yaşamını daha iyi anlamak için sınıf ortamını güney kutup bölgesine çevirdik. Çocuklardan o gün için siyah-beyaz giyinmelerini istedik. Yüz boyalarıyla çocukların yüzlerini penguen gibi boyadık. Hazırlanan ortamda çocuklar drama yaparak penguenlerin nasıl yaşadıklarını, nelerle beslendiklerini ve nasıl çoğaldıklarını öğrendiler.
